J OANNA BOYRLAKI

I was born i n Agies Paraskies, Heraklion Crete. Growing up in this place, which has had the tremendous influence of civilization , intellect and art on people , could not be spared.

I have studied Byzantine Art , and specifically the Cretan technique of the 15th and 16th century , next to the renowned teacher and hagiographer Mr Emmanuel Stylianaki (1995-1998 ) .

My professional path began , opening my workshop in P eza, Heraklion in 1998.

Along with the hagiography in 2005 I attended copper engraving courses and 2008, I fulfilled one more dream, by attending mosaic courses, next to Mrs. Anna Malliotaki , mosaic artist.

Since 2010 I have transferred my workshop on Agies Paraskies where I live .

My works are in churches in Greece , and in private collections in Greece , Russia , Holland, America , China.
