Karatza Adamantia

Adamantia Karatza was born in Zakynthos.

STUDIES
From 1986 to 1987, she was taught design and painting near Vrasidas Vlahopoulos.
From 1987 to 1988, she studied in the department of decoration at the VAKALO school.
In 1990 she started studying hagiography next to the painter -hagiographer Mrs Eva Persaki.
From 1992 to 1997, she was apprenticed by the hagrographer Dimitris Hatziapostolou at the following schools: "Center of Art and Civilization" and "Painting Icons". In the meantime, she was taking lessons of paleography the C.I.N.B. (Cultural Institute of National Bank) for three years.

EXHIBITIONS
In 1998 and in 1999, she participated in two exhibitions of hagiography in C.I.N.B.
From 1998 to 2000, she took part in the annual exhibition of ecclesiastic products "ORTHODOXY".
In September 2000 she was invited by the official sector of tourism Apulia in Brindizi in Italy where she exhibited her works of art the exhibition under the title "The Byzantine Civilization of Greece and its approach to the Italian civilization".
In 2000, 2002 and 2003 she participated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd DE.ET.DA. artists of West Athens.
In 2001, she exhibited her works of art at the Artist’s Women Cafe in Saint Anargyroi.
In 2002, she participated in the exhibition of the literary association of Parnassus, where she was awarded with honors.
She has painted the holy icons in the temple of Saint loannis Theologos in Zakynthos.
She is a member of the Panhellenic Union of hagiographers and takes part in the common exhibitions the union.
